Willerton was born in London. Her father, Bruce Willerton (born 1958), is a keen athlete and competitive triathlete who finished in 44th place in his age category in the 2009 Perth ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships.
She began her modelling career at fifteen, after being scouted by Kate Marshall of Room 3 model agency while out shopping with her sister. She signed with Models 1 in 2014.
